The Ironbath is a little excited – well as excited as the Ironbath ever gets – that he will be seeing Gillian Welch (and ofcourse David Rawlings) in November at the Warwick Arts Theatre.
Gillian Welch’s latest album ‘The Harrow & The Harvest’ is a magnificent production. Gillian is able to produce her music in so many shades of darkness, and at the same time sounds so simplistic. Ofcourse it isn’t simple – every note is carefully considered and delivered with breathtaking talent, and it is her apparent timidness that cuts through the darkness of her lyrics.
The Ironbath’s favourite track from the album is The Way It Will Be, a multi-layered sorrowful ballad.
